I recently encountered a small problem while installing MS Office 2010 on Win7 x64. It seemingly had trouble writing to a file in a folder C:\Config.Msi\.

My LAN setup is slightly complicated. A remnant of old times where the ISP would give you a modem and you had to set up a router to manage your LAN, I didn't take the time to update my network when I received my ISP's new modem that also acts as a router.
Basically, I now have a router (my ISP's) exposed to the internet and managing a LAN under the IP structure: 192.167.1.xxx. Directly hooked to my ISP's router is my good old router (Linksys) whose external IP address is 192.167.1.2 and which is managing a LAN under the IP structure 192.168.1.xxx. My server is at 192.168.1.11.

Good thing to know when forwarding your ports to a home server fails: Check if your ISP is not blocking them!
My LAN setup is slightly complicated. I've got two routers in cascade and port forwarding requires me to configure each of them intelligently. After about 1h of trying various configurations and searching the web to find where the problems lied, I was faced with a weird fact: while I was successful at forwarding port 4040 (Subsonic), the ports 80, 443 where closed. Thus my configuration was correct for one port, but not for other ports... Troubling...
